I am a dedicated artist who has faced significant challenges in gaining acceptance within my own country. Many galleries and exhibitions have rejected my work, often misinterpreting my artistic vision and labeling it as nudity. As a woman in Turkey, I frequently encounter societal biases that make it even more difficult to assert my rights as an artist and secure opportunities to sustain my creative career.
Despite these obstacles, I have persevered, crafting my entire portfolio with a CANON SX740 HS point-and-shoot camera—a generous gift from a friend—and relying on support from EU+ for my creative journeys. Through this lens, I strive to capture raw, authentic moments that transcend cultural boundaries and resonate universally.
Creating art in this environment requires resilience and unwavering dedication, and I hope to find a platform that appreciates my work for its intent and unique perspective.
